Research Interests

My current research is focused on plant-light interactions. Climate change affects individual plant traits as well as species distribution. These changes in vegetation in turn affect climate, for example through altering albedo. To investigate these feedbacks, we use a broad range of methods, including radiative transfer modelling, field experiments in Siberia and analysis of drone and satellite images. We aim to determine specific trends in changes of plant traits and distribution that will allow us to better understand current processes and predict upcoming changes.
