Research Interests

My general research interest includes forest rehabilitation, biodiversity and ecosystem functioning of tropical forests. I am currently work on the effectiveness of dipterocarp enrichment planting schemes. The core of the project is the comparison of the growth and mortality of different species of dipterocarp seedlings enrichment planted under different conditions especially with regard to carbon storage in North of Borneo. This project will also investigate if it is possible to link this field-collected data to larger scales through the application of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing methodologies.
