I am driven by my wonder of the complexity of the universe and yearn to discover how order evolves from chaos. I am interested in the underlying mechanisms of evolution, which have created the awesome diversity of organisms (and culture) that is present today. What are the main constraints on the evolution of populations which have led to design similarities in disparate organisms? And what are the forces which drive it? How can useful, predictive models of evolutionary trajectories be built?
