Emergency and Psychological Support

Employee Assistance Office (MBS)

  • Free services for UZH staff, including legal consultation, psychological counseling, and conflict mediation.

  • Especially relevant in cases involving labor law, internal disputes, or workplace distress.

Psychological Counseling Services (UZH/ETH)

  • Postdocs who are also enrolled in study programs may potentially access student services; otherwise, MBS is the main point of contact.

Workplace Conflicts

Faculty Ombudsperson / HR Advisor

  • For issues relating to employment conditions or internal conflicts, postdocs may consult the departmental or faculty ombudspersons or the Human Resources office.

  • Involvement of HR is appropriate when dealing with employment-related grievances, bullying, or contract-related concerns.
