FBA Constraint
Variation-Simple Flux Intervals
This process is used to compute the simple intervals of
fluxes for multiple sets of flux constraints. These intervals are
computed by minimizing and maximizing the flux of each reaction using
a linear program solver. If the minimization or maximization problems
prove to be unbounded, the flux bounds are denoted as -∞ or
+∞, respectively. The following steps are executed during this
process:

If a constraints file is
specified, the flux constraints it contains are applied. |

The next set of flux constraints contained
in the constraint variation file are applied. These
constraints will override any pre-existing constraints for the
specified fluxes (or linear combinations of fluxes). |

The flux intervals are computed, and the
results are written to the next line of the specified output file. |
4. |
If another set of flux constraints is
present in the constraint variation file, Steps 2 and 3 are
repeated. |
