Disease Ecology of Amphibians

Disease Ecology of Amphibians

Our group studies the disease ecology of amphibians with particular emphasis on innate immune defenses and conservation initiatives. We are currently investigating how the skin microbiota may function in host protection and studying the microbial ecology of amphibian skin in terms of persistence, community dynamics, disturbance, and interaction with host immune defenses.
